ARGO KF

Well then, after Phil told you some stuff about our last shows, I'll give you a little view into what we are doing currently. Before the big summer break, our teacher told us to draw sketches for a Greek play for which we should sew the costumes. And so with not that much information, we all did some sketches over the summer holidays.
As the new school year started we began to talk about the whole plan and met the director of the play. And sadly our sketches were too historical and normal. So he asked us to do some new ones with a more modern touch. Pretty disappointed and demotivated, we tried our best to do it better the second time. And we did. This time he was completely ok with all of them.
We got the chance to talk with him a little longer, and we learned to understand him, which wasn't very easy for us in the beginning. But now we know what he wants from us, we are back to our usual level of motivation and ready to get this thing done.
At present we are doing all the cuts so that we can start sewing next week - hopefully! So guys, wish us luck. We have 2 weeks left to finish our work and I'll keep you up-to-date with some more pictures and news...

Stay tuned!

Summary of the last two fashion shows

This is a small look back at a combination of the last two fashion shows. Let’s start with the first fashion show, which took place on April 16th.

Most of us were very excited to walk down a catwalk which had been organized in co-operation with Sparkasse! The topic of the first fashion show was "dark and cold" and we also used flowers with a cold touch as accessories on or in the material.

Everybody walked successfully, the public was fascinated and the show was great. Thanks to our ambitious teacher, we even made it onto the front page of the local newspaper!

The second show took place on July 16th and again we managed to excite the audience. The show was a good experience for all of us because the walk was quite difficult. We had to stand still without moving for about 30 minutes in temperatures of over 35°C in full costumes and this was a pain in the ass!!!

In comparison with the first show, we only used basic material such as cotton. As well as designing the outfits, we were allowed to do our shoes and headgears for the first time and we made it on the title page of the newspaper again!

Despite our serious appearances, we had a lot of fun and we are highly motivated, as always, for the next fashion show.
